Base Building

Base Building St. Paul's Rock Creek Episcopal Church
Washington, DC
St. Paul's Episcopal Church established in 1712 is the only surviving colonial church in Washington, DC. Atelier Architects recently completed construction documents for a renovation of the 1920s Parrish Hall. This Hall will be used for musical performances, services, and speaking engagements. Hamilton Square

The buildings have 24,000 square feet of retail at the street level with 64 residential units accommodated on two levels in one building and three levels in the other.

Sony Cineplex Cinema/Retail/Office

The buildings will include a 16 theater cinemaplex, retail space, two restaurants, 100,000 sf of office space, and a 500 car parking garage on an adjacent block. A clock tower will rise above the three building complex to identify and define a public plaza in front of the restaurant and cinema entrances.

Center City Retail/Office
Paterson, NJ
Master plan and design of a six acre urban redevelopment site in the central business district of Paterson, New Jersey. The 125,000 sf office building has 25,000 sf of retail space at street level. The buildings, while appearing as one structure, will actually be two separate buildings. One building will be occupied by New Jersey state offices and the other will be speculative office space.

East of the River
Hailed as “A beginning of a Renaissance on Martin Luther King Avenue” by the Washington Post, “Plaza 8” has 9,630 SF of office space home to East of the River Community Development Corporation. The building is part of a master plan by the corporation to revitalize one of the communities’ most significant thoroughfares. In keeping with the clients’ goals and objectives the building was designed to address both the client and the communities’ interest in mind. The façade with its simple, clean geometric lines creates a presence on the street, while maintaining the scale and proportion that is inherent in the neighborhood. The brick base of the building ties aesthetically to the surrounding residential buildings as well as creating a pedestrian friendly connection to the sidewalk.
