Mr. Faust's professional design portfolio includes
commercial, residential, retail, hospitality, and health care facilities,
as well as architectural interiors. His work on behalf of clients includes,
but is not limited to the conversion of Philadelphia's historic Curtis
Publishing Building into "Class A" office and retail space, the development
of the 165-bed Holy Cross Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Silver
Spring, Maryland, the design of a two building Apartment/Retail complex
in the Historic District of Paterson, NJ which included the historic
renovation of a turn of the century Mill Building, and the design of
a number of major hotel complexes in urban and suburban settings from
Pennsylvania to Florida.
Prominent among Mr. Faust's architectural interior
projects is the recent renovation and alteration of Metropolitan Square,
and the office space for SFInteractive, both are located in Washington,
DC. Mr. Faust was a Senior Associate at Oldham & Seltz before cofounding
Atelier Architects. He was also a design architect at Skidmore, Owings
& Merrill; Perkins & Will, both in Washington, D.C.; LBC&W in Alexandria,
Virginia and CE Maguire in Waltham, Massachusetts.
In 1981 he received a Bachelor of Architecture and
a Bachelor of Science in Urban Studies from the University of Maryland.
He is a registered architect in the states of Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
Mr. Faust is a member of the American Institute of
Architects. He has participated in projects for Community Design Services,
a program of the Washington Architectural Forum dedicated to providing
professional design services to low income communities. Since 1993,
Mr. Faust has been a member of the Advisory Board for St. Matthias Apostle
School in Lanham, Maryland.
