Eugene Burnett is a founding member of Atelier Architects. His primary responsibilities are marketing and administrative operations of the firm. He has extensive experience in orchestrating the production of drawing packages and following the project through to completion. Mr. Burnett brings to the team a thorough understanding of the design and construction process as well as the ability to provide accurate, budget-conscious documents for a smooth, successful project. He is especially skilled in coordinating the project design team and construction teams to achieve successful execution of the project.

With more than 25 years of professional experience, Mr. Burnett has been responsible for a wide range of projects, varying in size and complexity.

Mr. Burnett offers clients a background both broad and deep in the arenas of commercial, educational, arts, health care, residential and interior design. His portfolio includes work on behalf of the Holton Arms School, the Mariner Health Nursing Facility in Bethesda, Maryland, The Fieldston Company Inc., the Food Marketing Institute, Miller Properties, the Euram Building, and Arcola and Kensington Nursing & Rehabilitation Centers. Mr. Burnett has also contributed his expertise to the project teams responsible for developing the multifamily residential communities such as The Kairos House, Washington, DC and the Villages of Chesapeake Harbor in Annapolis, Maryland.

Mr. Burnett was an Associate with Oldham & Seltz for seven years before cofounding Atelier Architects. He was a project architect with CHK Architects, and a staff architect for MOV Architects. Mr. Burnett is a registered architect.

A National Competitive Scholarship recipient, he graduated from Howard University in 1977. He is a member of the Washington DC Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
